Open Coaching Journal

Editorial policy

Open Coaching Journal aims to make coaching ideas clear, careful and useful without presenting opinion as fact or promising that one approach will work for everyone.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against suitable, available sources and revise wording that could mislead. Articles should distinguish established information from interpretation or suggestion, explain specialist terms, and acknowledge meaningful limits. We do not claim research, testing or professional credentials that we do not have.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to guarantee favourable treatment for a partner. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, and commercial relationships do not determine our independent editorial conclusions.

Corrections and illustrations

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review correction requests and update material when a change is warranted, making significant corrections clear to readers. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified as illustrative rather than documentary.

Our point of view

Good coaching makes space for the other person

A useful conversation is not a script or a quick fix. It helps people notice their own thinking and choose a next step that fits.
